1. Park your car, ride Sedona Shuttle

The free Sedona Shuttle Trailhead Routes take you to popular trailheads like Devil's Bridge, Cathedral Rock, and Soldiers Pass. It's free! And the Sedona Shuttle Connect on-demand service can get you almost anywhere in the city for a few bucks. Both services run Thursday to Sunday, and Shuttle Connect runs until 8:30 PM through June 29. Download the free app in the App Store or Google Play

2. Find the trail less traveled

Some trails in Sedona are extremely popular but all the trails are beautiful. Check out these curated trail maps for great lesser-known trails. And while you're out there, consider following these stewardship guidelines.

Get some red dirt on your shoes.

 

LOCALS TIP: Avoid being on the trails between 10 AM and 4 PM during the hottest part of the day. Be sure to pack snacks, water and sun protection. Wear sturdy hiking shoes and always stay on trail.

 

Enjoy some sweet singletrack, but tread lightly!

 

  • Mountain bike rentals are available to explore Sedona.
  • With over 250 miles of bike-friendly trails, find the one that beckons you. Note: Wet soils are more susceptible to damage. Stay on designated routes.
  • E-Bikes: Rent an e-bike to explore some paved pathways and scenic dirt roads.

 

LOCALS TIP: Hikers and horses have the right-of-way on all trails. E-bikes are not allowed on any trail.

 

Book a guided tour on the terrain that suits you.

  • Off-Road Tour: See the wild west or venture up and down a red dirt road with stunning views.
  • Vortex Jeep Tour: Get in touch with Sedona's natural energy.
  • Guided ATV/OHV Tour: Get ready to get dirty. NOTE: Go slow, take your time, be aware of your noise level and stay on designated routes - this protects wildlife habitats and sensitive soils from damage.
  • Trolley Tour: An easy-breezy, no stress tour of the city and local surroundings.

 

LOCALS TIP: Some trolley tours also include a stop at the Chapel of the Holy Cross, an architectural landmark of Sedona.

  • Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village: Nestled beneath the shade of sycamores on the banks of Oak Creek is a distinctive shopping village.
  • Visit Sedona's newest attraction: the Creek Walk underpass takes you down to the banks of Oak Creek while getting you safely across State Route 179.
  • Hillside Sedona: Home to a collection of restaurants, fine art galleries and boutiques that offer shoes, fashion and home decor.
  • Uptown Sedona: Packed with galleries, gift shops, cafes and restaurants.
  • Shops at Hyatt Pinon Pointe: a diverse selection of 18 stores, galleries and restaurants.

 

LOCALS TIP: Look for free parking lots behind the shops on State Route 89A.
