1. Park your car, ride Sedona Shuttle

The free Sedona Shuttle Trailhead Routes take you to popular trailheads like Devil's Bridge, Cathedral Rock, and Soldiers Pass. It's free! And the Sedona Shuttle Connect on-demand service can get you almost anywhere in the city for a few bucks. Both services run Thursday to Sunday, and Shuttle Connect runs until 8:30 PM through June 29. Download the free app in the App Store or Google Play

 

2. Best hiking advice: make a plan

With more than 200 trails, it's easy to find yourself hiking through Sedona's beautiful landscape. For the best experience, plan in advance using these suggestions:

Get some red dirt on your shoes.

 

LOCALS TIP: Avoid being on the trail between 10 AM and 4 PM on hot days. Be sure to pack snacks, water and sun protection. Wear sturdy hiking shoes and always stay on trail.

 

Enjoy some sweet singletrack, but tread lightly!

 

  • Mountain bike rentals are available to explore Sedona.
  • With over 250 miles of bike-friendly trails, find the one that beckons you. Note: Wet soils are more susceptible to damage. Stay on designated routes.
  • E-Bikes: Rent an e-bike to explore some paved pathways and scenic dirt roads.

 

LOCALS TIP: Hikers and horses have the right-of-way on all trails. E-bikes are not allowed on any trail.

 

Book a guided tour on the terrain that suits you.

  • Off-Road Tour: See the wild west or venture up and down a red dirt road with stunning views.
  • Vortex Jeep Tour: Get in touch with Sedona's natural energy.
  • Guided ATV/OHV Tour: Get ready to get dirty. NOTE: Go slow, take your time, be aware of your noise level and stay on designated routes - this protects wildlife habitats and sensitive soils from damage.
  • Trolley Tour: An easy-breezy, no stress tour of the city and local surroundings.

 

LOCALS TIP: Some trolley tours also include a stop at the Chapel of the Holy Cross, an architectural landmark of Sedona.

  • Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village: Nestled beneath the shade of sycamores on the banks of Oak Creek is a distinctive shopping village.
